Aphids are one of the most common pests in UK gardens during the summer months. Aphids extract plant sap and leave honeydew behind which attract fungi becoming like a sooty mould. Both greenfly and blackfly have enormous reproductive capability, this means they can inflict serious damage to plants quickly and in some cases spread plant viruses. Nature has many predators which can restore the balance in your garden by controlling aphids. Just Aphid Killer (Lacewings) contains 200 Lacewing larvae, each of which can consume 300-400 aphids. Lacewing larvae will also feed on other pests such as Red Spider Mite and Thrip. Product should only be applied when temperature is above 10C. For effective control product should only be applied when temperature is above 10°C.
