Caterpillars feed on leaves and young plant growth and, due to their huge appetites, are capable of massive damage to plants. Young caterpillars are unable to chew, so graze on the underside of leaves but as they get larger the damage they cause increases, when they eat flowers, fruits and growing tips. There are few products for controlling caterpillars, but Just Caterpillar uses nematodes to provide an environmentally safe and efficient treatment which can be watered straight onto edible or ornamental plants. Use Just Caterpillar once they are seen on the plant, preferably whilst they are still small, and the nematodes will quickly seek out the caterpillar and kill it. For effective control product should only be applied when temperature is above 10°C.
