Ronseal decking oil is a durable scuff resistant tinted oil that forms a waterproof barrier to protect against weathering, warping, swelling, drying and splitting. it resists mould and algae growth and its fade resistant finish protects against uv rays. for use on hardwood and softwood decking. A 2.5 litre pack is normally sufficient to coat a deck 10-12m² with 2 coats of decking oil. coverage will vary with absorbency of timber and profile of deck.

The world renouned, flexible, super high gloss finish that does not peel or flake. usually used in conjunction with the deep penetrating deks olje d1. Wooden boats, and anywhere you require a high gloss clear finish. the more layers applied the deeper the look. works very well when applied on top of deks olje d1 saturator. Used throughout the world for decades, deks olje is the leading solution for waterproofing and protecting wood on boats, yachts, cruise liners etc. it is also a great solution for garden furniture, windows, doors etc. D1 is used for waterproofing and d2 optionally for finishing, when a high gloss finish is required.the idea is to let the wood soak in as much d1 oil as possible (with a wooden boat this can take several days of constant brushing!) after which it is left to dry/harden which it does in a matter of several days. After that, the wood is completely impervious to water, indeed, you can submerge it as is the case with boats. the oil soaks in quite deep in softwoods, less so in hardwood, but it also works on pine, mahogany and teak (saltwater won’t then turn it gray). excellent for hardwood furniture and decking. left as is, d1 will give you a matte finish, and if you want a high gloss, flexible clear varnish, use the d2.
